How are you feeling today? It’s Monday. If you’ve had a wonderful weekend, you might be facing the new week with resignation or a thought along the lines of ‘here we go again.’ If your weekend was less than fantastic, you could be looking forward to a fresh start. After all, it can’t get any worse can it?
Today I would encourage you to try something new. It might come as something of a revelation to you (it did me
) but the people in your life are not psychic. They can not read your mind. Worse than that, they’re not very good at picking up on your clever signals.
As you begin this new week, try talking to the folks around you. Instead of suggesting by way of inter-brainwave communication (OK, I made that up
) that you need some help, make a polite but direct request. The same goes for other people you’re chatting with. If there’s something you’d like to know, ask.
Children ask literally hundreds of questions on a daily basis. If they don’t hear the answer they want or the grown-up they’re talking to feigns deafness, they keep asking until they get an answer.
Let’s today promise ourselves that we’ll be as direct and prepare for some exciting results.
As ever, don’t forget to come back and tell us what happened
