How many of us set exercise or weight-loss related goals when the New Year bells tolled? Some folks are naturally thin while the rest of us seem to spend our entire time on one diet or another. No more! Life is for living but there are little things you can do to make a difference to your health and well-being. That’s another post entirely but for today, let’s make it our goal to move just a little bit more.
If you’re at home with the children, try marching on the spot whilst folding clothes. Or why not nip out at lunchtime for a quick game of football at the park? Your children will love it and so will your waist line
If you spend much of your day sat at a desk, get up every now and again and run on the spot. If your colleagues think you’ve gone mad, just tell them it’s not your fault and that I told you to
If you work in a building with a lift, choose to take the stairs. Why not see if you can leap up the stairs two at a time?
If you have the opportunity to walk a little as part of your day, challenge yourself to push the pace just a little.
But now it’s your turn. What little things can you do to move more?

Hi Eleanor
I think most peoples goals fail because their goal is misaligned to the reason for doing it in the first place. So, for example, if your goal was too look fantastic on the beach this summer, then that’s a lot more desireable (and achieveable) than simply, I want to loose weight.

I agree Matthew. And also having a goal of losing weight is very negative. I imagine it’s much better to flip goals on their head into a positive statement of what you want.

I have been told I can lose a stone of ugly weight… good news..
To do it I have to cut my head off… Bad news…
