hi eleanor,
how are you? This post reminds me of the story of a fisherman who was catching fish and throwing the big ones back into the pond/sea and when he was asked why he took such steps, he stated that the fishes thrown into the pond were bigger than his frying pan.
i think sometimes we just need to stretch ourselves beyond our comfort zones and break out of our sterotypes. Constructive risks bring about success.
take care then.

That's a brilliant idea. And you can tell Michael Beckwith I said so ;)

I hadn't considered that some people find it hard to dream big. I have such an overactive imagination, it comes naturally to me. It helps to be told that folks need to be helped along with this. Therefore, thank you :)

Eleanor,

Another good '1 minute motivator'. Big dreams; perhaps there should be a training course on how to dream big. It's not too easy for some people; you ask them for a big dream and it's no big or more ambition than their other dreams. An exercise I learnt from Michael Beckwith is to think of 6 impossible things before breakfast; do this everyday. It will help get you into the big dream mentality.

Thank you for sharing this.

Regards

Paul

Hi Ching Ya :)
What you say about living every day as if it's your last reminds me of a little snippet of parenting wisdom I heard:

"Love your child as if she won't be here next year.
Teach your child as if you won't be here next year."

If I think about it too much it has the potential to make me cry but there's a lot of potential in there which can spill over to all our relationships, whether we have children or not.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and join the conversation. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow :)

Aside from not dying? Can I request for another 3 wishes to be granted as my last wish?
Ok, back to the topic. I really love what the article shares about big dreams, baby steps. If I knew I'll be leaving permanently in 6 months time, will treasure every moment to spend with loved ones, making sure all hopes are fulfilled no matter what they are -- truth is, we can start doing that today! Why not live the day as if it's our last, make it a no-regret. :)

Waiting for the forks. Thanks for sharing this post Eleanor.
