Welcome to a brand new week and the first of this week’s one minute motivators.
When was the last time you stopped what you were doing and listened to what was going on around you? I’m not talking about the noise of your family members (although they may be clamouring for your attention
) What I’m really listening for today are noises in the periphery. If you’re walking your children to school, stop together and listen. Depending upon where you live, you may hear a little bird singing a lone Winter melody. If it’s raining, be prepared for a whole symphony as the rain batters its way through and around things.
What if all you hear around you is traffic? Thank God that you’re not alone. Traffic noise is proof positive that people around you are going somewhere, unless of course you’re stuck in traffic on the M25
Can you hear the sound of your co-workers talking and tapping away at their work stations? Or how about the ‘phone ringing. As mundane and frustrating as some of these things usually are, take time to appreciate them right now. Just think, if you can hear your co-workers, that means you’ve got a job. No small thing these days
If you feel so inclined, keep listening today. What is the most unusual or unexpected thing you heard? I’d love to hear about it
Over to you. What do you think?

It’s just another one of the ways you can Give A Brick and then tell your friends
