What have you done to make you feel proud? It’s very easy to think about other people and how they impact our happiness. Do we blame our children for being naughty and making us cross? Or our work colleague or boss who expects too much of us?
We live in a society that encourages us to think about us as individuals. Here at Give A Brick we prefer to talk about communities and relationships as being the key. However today I would encourage you to put the onus back on yourself.
Don’t look to anyone else right now. What have you done today to make you feel proud? I loved to hear about it in the comments section below
And if you have more than a minute to spare, here’s the song in its entirety:

Well, I walked with my (25 week pregnant) wife to get some her some pampering and pick up the papers. I was very proud that in 3 short months we will have our own bundle of joy.

That is a great answer Matthew. And just three months to go … enjoy every second you have now (as you are doing
) because time seems to go into fast forward when little ones arrive

Today, I am proud of taking back my life. It has been a long hard struggle, many tears and decisions.
Thanks for this Eleanor, very nice post and music too.

Wow Maria. I don’t know how to reply to that other than ‘well done’. Sounds like it’s been a tough time. I’m proud of you too

I’m a day late, but I was really proud of myself for not touching the computer all day. No blogging, emails, reading RSS, commenting or anything. I really needed the break to re-energize msyelf and know that there is more to life than sitting in front of a computer on a beautiful, sunny Saturday.
Great reminder to ensure that, even if no one else is, that we are proud of ourelves!

Excellent Karen. I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been fairly absent this week for a variety of reasons but we have to remember that it will all still be here waiting for us when we get back.
For some, that would be very daunting. They’d worry about all the catching up but truth is, much of what we do can be neglected from time to time. This post is proof of that. I didn’t post a 1mm this Sunday morning. We had friends round last night and having not written it before they arrived, I was just too tired to do it after they left. Has the sky fallen down as a result?
I’m really glad you enjoyed a beautiful sunny Saturday and look forward to catching up next week
