1 Minute Motivator: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

by Eleanor

“I’m just catching up on yesterday,
tomorrow I will be ready for today.”

Do you ever have days where you seem to spend the whole time chasing your tail. It might be that no matter what you do, you never quite seem to get everything done?

This is the 1 Minute Motivator so we’re not here to offer impressive solutions. However, we have three quick ideas to get you started. After that, it’s over to you ;)

  • Make a list

Break your to-do list into much smaller pieces. Transfer these small pieces safely into a note book and start paying attention.

  • Set a timer

Some people hate timers. They say it makes them feel under pressure. But setting a timer for say 5 minutes and allowing yourself to get as much done before the timer goes off is a great way to get a lot done without killing yourself ;)

  • Just do it!

Starting can be the hardest thing in the world, especially if you’ve given your wonderful brain a chance to start processing things related to the job in hand. Before you know it, your on-board computer will have persuaded you not to bother ;)

Hi Ayo,
I’m great thank you. Tired though. I’m in London for the day and was woken at half 4 in the morning by a delivery lorry; hence the reason for the early morning comment on your blog ;)

I like your addition. It is very true. If I’m determined not to be distracted, I have to turn everything else off.

Good to see you my friend,
Eleanor

Eleanor,

A wonderful little structure for a one minute motivator. I also like the addtion by Ayo, they all go together so well. Thank you for sharing these.

The last one in particular is very powerful, ‘just do’; what are you waiting for?

Did you notice your lost comment turned up on my post! Very puzzling.

Regards

Paul
