Hi ![]()
Give A Brick has been added to Ebay’s charities program. This means that anyone can choose to donate some (or all!) of the proceeds of their auction to Give A Brick. It’s managed by a charity called ‘Mission Fish’ and they even organise the Gift Aid (where applicable) so charities get every chance possible.
Look out for the yellow and blue ribbon which donates a charity seller.

Now that is a great idea! It makes it another way of fundraising. I will mention it to anybody I know who occasionally sells on ebay. Just a thought, could you add a paypal link to methods of donation? I will be selling more on ebay in the new year when I officially launch a device I have invented.

Hi Roy,
If you’d like to mention it to people you know, that would be excellent. The min. donation for a seller is £2 or 10% (whichever is the most) although you can choose to donate any percentage you like.
Glad you like this idea
The good thing is that whatever % you donate, you get that percent of your fees back. This means that we can sell ‘stuff’ and if we donate 100%, it won’t cost a penny to do so
Give A Brick as a charity can’t sell too much (we couldn’t
turn it into a business for example – the occasional fund rasing sale, like a coffee morning for example, is fine) but an individual or company could sell on our behalf.
As for Paypal, I did ask about their fees (they have special rates for charities)but they wouldn’t tell me unless I gave them our registration number. At the time we didn’t have one so I couldn’t! Thanks for reminding me, I’ll ask them again with our number

Can’t find anything to bid on yet!
I’ll have to get on and sell the Jag with a percentage to Give a Brick
