The lovely Matthew Needham from The Big Red Tomato Company hosted a competition recently. The prize was a copy of Tim Ferriss’ “The 4-Hour Workweek” which came highly recommended by Matthew. And if you haven’t guessed already … we won! Matthew wants a nice photo for his website but seeing as I wanted to share the excitement today, I’ve had to make do with this self-portrait (I was going for the surprised look in case you’re wondering
) Don’t worry Matthew, I’ll get someone to take a better one for you later
I love to read and I’m very excited about this book because, as I said to Matthew when I offered my ’sales pitch’, “I don’t have a compelling sales pitch but would happily take it in lieu of a brick. If this book is as good as you suggest, sounds like it will give it’s weight in bricks and some!” Matthew, being the generous chap that he is, has already given a brick but now he’s given us the opportunity to apply some of Tim’s hints and tips. I can’t wait to see what his advice will do for a small charity with massive aspirations like us. I’m only on page 52 so you’ll have to wait to find out
But I can assure you, I’ll be sharing this one with you (so every one’s a winner!)
However, I’ve already found my favourite line (so far anyway) and I quote:
“Doing the unrealistic is easier than doing the realistic.”
Is it realistic to ask everyone to Give A Brick and then tell their friends? No way! But that’s not stopped us trying. And according to Tim Ferriss at least, what we’re working toward is easier than doing something realistic. How cool is that?!
So if you’re about to tackle something totally unrealistic but very exciting, cool and fun, go for it! I’d love to hear all about it.
Please add a comment and retweet.
It’s just another one of the ways you can Give A Brick and then tell your friends
P.S. Thank You Matthew

Thanks guys. And be assured, I will definitely be telling you all about how it’s helped Give A Brick and things I’ve learned. I think Matthew has already put a request in for that one
