As much as we enjoy our occasional mention on Twitter’s #Follow Friday, we don’t tend to join in because I’ve so far failed to find a proper method for keeping track of who we’ve been tweeting with over the previous 7 days.
This week’s exception
Ryan Hanzel over at Writer’s Addict gave us an award this week. He called it ‘The Sunshine Award’. The name alone was enough to make me smile 
So in the spirit of community, we are of course joining in and sending out our own Sunshine Award love. Where our recipients are also on Twitter, they’ll be our Follow Friday chums for this week.

I’m told that there are rules and these are them:
* Put the logo on your blog above or below your post.
* Pass the award to 12 bloggers.
* Link the nominees within your post.
* Let the nominees know they have received the award by commenting on their blogs.
* Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award.
It was recommended to not give awards to blogs that had already had some sunshine love but I took this as a suggestion rather than a rule

lol I had a feeling you might ask that as I’ve not explained Follow Friday to you yet have I?
Every Friday on Twitter, folks send recommendations of great people to follow. They add the hashtag #followfriday to track their tweets. It’s a great idea in principle but I tend to avoid sending any recommendations. The reason being, it seems to have developed into a bit of a free for all. People recommend people hoping that they’ll recommend them back etc. All very messy.
However, Ryan gave us a mention via his ‘sunshine awards’ a couple of days ago. You’ll have to go over to his place (www.writersaddict.net) if you want to read how he got involved. So I decided to spread some love and support for those blogs I enjoy and/or learn from. Given that I was posting it on Friday, I decided to link it with Twitter and include the #ff hashtag. The only exception to this was Ralph who, to the best of my knowledge, isn’t on Twitter.
