#GiveABrickTwitterChallenge

In line with Twitter’s weekly Charity Tuesday, Give A Brick are today proud to launch their first ever Twitter Challenge. If you’ve been here before, you’ll know that we think we’re probably the first charity to ask people to give a brick (i.e. just £1) then ask their friends to do the same. With zero budget for overheads and advertising, we’ve been harnessing the power of the web to tell our friends (and their friends ;) ) about our unusual approach but we need your help.

Starting today, and every subsequent Tuesday, we’ll be making our Give A Brick Charity Tuesday Paypal button available. OK, so in reality, the button will be here on this page every day of the week. However, this special button is special because thanks to the power of Paypal, when you Give A Brick using the button below, we will know you have done so as a result of the Twitter Challenge. We’d like to see just how powerful Twitter really is and this button will help.

What will we use your £1 for? Right now your £1 will buy actual bricks, roof tiles, and all the other things needed to build a community centre. You can read more about our first project here (and if you have a project that needs help with funding, read more about how we can help you here.) We support projects working to make life better for children, young people, the elderly and those facing financial hardship. Your £1 will make a massive difference.

However, we’d also like to help make you smile too. Therefore, if you have a look around the site, you’ll see we’ve written some posts to inspire, encourage and challenge you. This collection is added to daily. We’ve also started a brand new daily series 1 Minute Motivator for people who have need a lift in the morning but don’t have much time ;)

And finally, I’d love to see how our Twitter Challenge is spreading so please use the hashtag #giveabricktwitterchallenge when you’re tweeting and help spread the love.

Thank you for visiting and trying out our new Twitter Challenge button. Please re-tweet, it’s the easy way to tell your friends ;)
