Well, with a bit of tinkering and help, I finally got author photos showing on blog posts but not on general pages such as ‘About Us’ and ‘Freebies’. It only took 2 days 
but got there in the end! I’d like to give a big thank you to Wordpress forum member Esmi for all the help and patience, it is much appreciated (hence the public demonstration of thanks and the link 
)

Hi Jinny,
Thanks for visiting and your interest in Give A Brick. I’ve sent you an email too but in case you see this first, which picture were you interested in and what you would like to do with it?
For example, the GAB logo is available for use on websites since they help raise awareness of the charity but the cartoons were drawn especially for us by a local graphic artist so I’d need to speak to him about how it is used by others.
