Hi Ebonie,
Thanks for visiting :) I'm glad you enjoyed the post and thank you for your advice about the search engines. I had a look at your link. It looks interesting but to be honest, $47 every month is a lot of bricks ;) Thanks for thinking of us though :)

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for stopping by again and for adding your thoughts.

'Keep calm and carry on' reminds me of the propaganda posters on display during the second world war. Given the nature of life at that time, it was clearly difficult and yet people were encouraged to press on for the benefit of themselves and others.

Keep calm and carry on is a saying that springs to mind.

The truth is the more you help others, the more people will help you.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for stopping by again and for your encouragement :)

I agree with you but when writing this I was very mindful of people who right now feel like they have nothing great in their lives. What if could get web access in Haiti right now and read this. Would my words sound trite? Quite possibly. That's why it's important to remember that the tragic stuff really is all relative.

And of course, if you have faith, it can make it easier to keep going. That said, what if you have a sort of daisy chain relationship with God? (He loves me, He loves me not - great book btw, worth reading) When something bad happens, it makes you feel like God's stopped loving you. That would make the tough stuff even more tough to cope with.

Hmmmm ... you've got me thinking again now.

Great comment, thanks :)
