I like the reference, your absolutely right. Positive thoughts can be disappointing sometimes but overall has a greater impact on the positive mind set.

Positivity attracts positivity, Think of it like this, when you're in a traffic jam instead of thinking about traffic, say 'we'll be home soon enough, it's good going'

By thinking about traffic you attract more of it, it's the same in life, if you focus on that negative comment or how much that bill might be when it comes in, guess what you're going to attract more of it. Positive thoughts can concure anything

Hi Ryan :)
I want to echo Ben's words. Thank you for getting involved in the community and taking the time to write. Your post reminded me of a post I read yesterday over on Ian Nuttal's site: http://www.leashoptional.com/life-moves-pretty-fast/

Enjoying the little things in life is important and helps to keep your head healthy.

Exactly, I am not sure of how it works physically but I have been down both roads and doing the little bit of extra work to maintain a positive focus in the long run is easier than doing nothing to better yourself.

This happens Ryan, because in the same way that your thoughts and emotions change our physiology, our physical actions directly effect how we thinking and feel.

So if you're feeling glump and down then your physical state will reflect that. You'll feel uncomfortable, your head will drop, you'll let your shoulders drop too and you will avoid things like eye contact. Alternatively, if you are in a positive, confident mood you'll be smiling, your shoulder will be back, your head up and you'll walk tall.

To change your mental state you need to change your physical state.

Great community post Ryan
