Call me a dinosaur if you like but I’ve been a bit slow at really ‘getting’ YouTube and the like. If I visit a site that has a video, it takes a lot to get me to watch it. I headed over to The Big Red Tomato Company this morning to read a post that Matthew said I’d helped inspire.
Before getting all the way there however, I was intrigued by a video he had in his ‘featured’ section. Aside from anything else, it has persuaded me that I need to watch more clips on the web
I watched this 7 minute clip (the length alone would usually be enough to put me off
) and it literally brought tears to my eyes. I’d already decided I had to post it on here today but when the closing sentences encouraged me to share this clip with the line ‘pay it forward’ the deal was done.
So here is the video clip. Please take the time to watch it, it has the potential to change your life. If you’re in a rush, bookmark it and come back later but you have got to watch this video. I’d also encourage you to visit Nick Vujicic’s website too because he has loads of inspiring stuff on there but first things first, here’s the clip:
What do you do when you fail? If you’re Nick Vujicic, you try again and again and again.

Hi Eleanor, glad you found inspiration at my site!
You’re last line about giving up when you fail. If Nick gives up then he fails in life itself. He can’t give up. He has to keep on trying.
What would happen if you kept trying and never gave up?

Can we pretend yours is a rhetorical question? It’s a tough one
There are some things that I have to keep trying at without giving up because I believe in them. Give A Brick is testament to that. I believe it was a God given idea back in August 2007. Until He tells me otherwise, I have to keep on trying.
Other things I try at with less conviction. Exercise and eating pretty are two things that spring to mind. I’d like to lose a few pounds but it’s not a major issue so I don’t try at it so much
Nick is absolutely amazing though. I’m so glad you added his video to your site

Eleanor,
This puts life in a whole new perspective. And it tells us more about not avoiding failure.

I thought of you and your blog toward the end of this when Nick talked about finishing strong. Thanks for taking the time to watch it. I’m glad you enjoyed.

Hi Eleanor,
I first saw this video over at Walter’s LionSlinger blog:

It’s such an inspirational video! And, Nick is truely passionate about his life. We can only hope to emulate his zest.
I’m so glad that more people are being exposed to it, because it’s so true that you can never give up.

Thanks Karen. I’m glad more people are seeing it too. It’s been up on Big Red Tom since November I think but it was literally yesterday that I first saw it. I wish I could show it to all the children in school.
