Nope, not best but maybe a necessary evil on occasions. It amuses me how pressed for time we can feel and yet we have so many time saving devices. Although I fail to wear a watch. Maybe that’s my real problem?

Eleanor,

That’s a ‘blast from the past’ for me, leaving my assignments until the last minute and then having to deal with the panic. However, when you get your results and you’ve passed, as Sire did, you wonder what all the panic and worry was all about. Not always the best strategy.

I agree Sire. I’ve always said I work better under pressure but I’ve never tried it any other way

Having said that, according to Tim Ferris in his 4 hour work week, we’ll always stretch the deadline we have and do it at the last minute.

I find that on the odd occasion I finish early I end up wasting time tinkering with the end product.

I remember when I was at college I always left assignments to the last day. Once I wrote thirty pages in a night, handed it in the next day and passed. I always told myself I worked best under pressure when in actual fact I probably would have got a higher grade if only I had spent more time on it.

Now I find the worst thing to do is to put things off. Once I make a start on something it’s all downhill from there.
