
I had 13 comments awaiting moderation on the blog today – and all 13 of them were spam! If you’re someone with techie knowledge of these things, do you know if these are computer generated? And can I do anything to reduce or stop them? (other than moderating all comments before they are published and deleting the ones that are spam!)

I found a wonderful plugin called ‘Akismet’ which should help. Just installed. Watch this space …

Ok So that probably wasnt trying hard enough to satisfy anybody so I will mention Viagra.
Nope- Its not working! Unless it automatically deletes posts later? Perhaps you should install one of those ‘captcha’ plugins everybody is used to them and it stops the automatic postings.

Hehehe. You did make me chuckle! Since you didn’t post via a robot and you’ve had comments added to the site previously and as such, are automatically approved, it didn’t spam your comments
Thanks for trying it out though. Since adding Akismet back in the autumn, it’s automatically deleted hundreds of comments
