For the last three months, Give A Brick Treasurer Mike Simmons (aka Dr Egg and @DrMikeSimmons) has been growing his hair. Not known for his flowing locks it has been something of a talking point! As I explained at the time, he’s doing this to raise £10,000 for Give A Brick. Armed with paper sponsor forms for the last few months, he’s not done too badly. Now however, his wife is getting cross! It’s got so long, next week we’ll be posting photos of him with plaits!
Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I unveil our new sponsorship website courtesy of BMyCharity.com As you’ll see, it’s pretty basic at the moment (we need to add some more pictures and interesting bits and bobs) but the most important parts are in place. As of now, anyone can go to www.BMyCharity.com/giveabrick and either sponsor someone fundraising on our behalf or set up their own sponsorship event. We’ll talk more about this next week but in the meantime, if you’d like to visit Dr Egg’s page and help him get a little bit closer to his £10,000 target, that would be wonderful. I’ll get him to put the pictures of him with plaits on that page soon too
Did you enjoy this post? Please Give A Brick. It’ll only cost a quid ;)
So what do you think? Could you join Dr Egg in his big hair shaving adventure? How about sitting in a bath of baked beans? Have a little think about it and let me know what you could do. It doesn’t even have to be silly … one of my siblings is baking cakes!
