Weekend Wrap: Celebrating with friends, rocking your world and the lovely @AussieSire

by El

As I sat to write this week’s weekend wrap, I was reminded of something I said to Matthew Needham about how time speeds up when you have children. The fact that Give A Brick is a little bit like my baby (who am I kidding, ‘a little bit like’?!) the speed that this week has gone shouldn’t really be a surprise then.

But it is. And so here you have another weekend wrap and me, feeling a little blown away that it’s July already.

Monday was a bit of a cheating quick post. I was just using Monday’s Celebration post to give some link love to two great Give A Brick friends, Ben Lumley and Jennifer Jinright. And would you believe it, after having joked about Matthew’s son making an appearance, he only went and did. Ben took credit for that one but go back, read the post, you’ll see it was actually me. ;)

Wednesday brought you my first ever business video. Business 101 Give A Brick style ;) I can say no more than that. You’ll have to check out the post to see for yourself: How to rock your world in 3 easy steps. And then of course, who could forget our lovely Sire and his Friday Friend interview? If you missed that, be sure to check it out. It’s great :)

And that’s your lot from Give A Brick for this week. Be sure to have yourself a wonderful weekend but first tell me, what did you enjoy reading this week? Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Oooh, and a belated Happy Canada day to all our Canadian friends whilst to all our American friends, have a wonderful July 4th. Was it your birthday this week? Did I miss anything out? Tell me :)

Hi El,

Isn’t that typical of a man to take all the credit? :-) We know who deserves it though :-)

You’re right, the weeks and months are just whizzing by. I can’t believe that Canada Day came and went again and that it’s already July 3rd. Next thing you know the second half of the year will be over and there’ll be snow on the ground, just in time for Christmas!

I can totally relate to the blog baby – it’s a never full! :-)

Hope your weekend is a good one.

lol Yep, we know ;)
I’m really looking forward to Christmas already. GAB was around last Christmas but because we didn’t start the regular blogging until January, this really feels like our first proper one online. I can’t wait for Heather to get back from Canada so she and I can start talking cards and calenders ;)

Had a quiet weekend and thanks, as ever for your encouragement and smiles :)

Time does speed up when you’re having fun and usually I’m doing something with my family and my blog all the time, therefore time never slows down for the most part.

I’ve actually started writing down things I want to make happen in life and go out there and take real action on things and it’s slowly paying off.

Btw, I hope you had a great day yesterday and hope you’re doing great! :)

Hey Eric :) I saw you were back. How’ve you been? How’s your little one? How old is your little one? Sorry, so many questions, so little white space to ask them.

Time really did get faster the day my eldest arrived. Can’t believe she’s seven already! Writing stuff down is a great idea but only (as you say) if you then go on and take action. Without the action, writing stuff down can be another form of procrastination ;)

Great to see you here :)

Glad to be back too.

She’s 3 months and beautiful and doing great. Thanks for asking! :)

Yeah I make sure if I’m going to write something down that I kick my butt into doing something about it for sure. What you mention there brings up a great idea for a blog post too… Thanks!

And thanks for the reply. :)

Awwww. Three months already? Wow, that’s gone quick. Glad you’re all well. Treasure it. You’ll turn around tomorrow and she’ll be seven and moaning because her wobbly tooth hasn’t fallen out yet ;)

Tweet me when that post comes out. I look forward to reading it.

And please, you don’t need to thank me for a reply ever again. I love conversation ;)
