Welcome to the weekend and our round up post of all that has been percolating here on the Give A Brick blog this week. I trust you’ve had a good week and have an even better weekend. Have you got yourself a nice hot cup of tea? Slippers on? Great! Let’s see what you might have missed.
One of the most exciting emails I had at the end of April was from Gary Vaynerchuk. He was replying to my questions about what he calls the best marketing strategy in the world, caring. Monday’s post was all about how this applies to Give A Brick. I’d love to hear what you think
Did you see our 1 Minute Motivator this week? It’s all about thankfulness and includes me sporting a pair of very tired eyes! Tired eyes aside, the underlying message is worth remembering.
And finally, on Friday you met Sadie. Sadie is one of my friends on the school yard. Her eldest and my eldest have been best friends since meithrin. Good job therefore that she and I find each other moderately entertaining
She has a new business on EBay and as part of that, she is also very kindly selling items for Give A Brick. Check out her Ebay page and come and say hello over at her interview spot.
That’s your lot for this week. I look forward to hearing what you think.
P.S. I’m coming home today. It’s been a blast but I can’t wait to catch up xx

Eleanor, thanks for sharing your interaction with Gary Vaynerchuk.
I’m subscribing to your blog, and also seeing how you handle a charity blog. I run a blog for the nonprofit Mount Shasta Trail Association in northern California.

Hey John, lovely to meet you
Have you read Gary’s book yet? It really is rather wonderful. Glad you’re enjoying the blog and thank you for subscribing. We have a brand new look coming very soon so it will be valuable to get your feedback on that when it happens.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks again,
Eleanor

Eleanor,
I’ll look into Gary’s book. And your site looks pretty good right now.
Don’t know if you follow the World Cup, but apparently the Yanks managed to tie England…

Thank you John
I’m self-taught so this place is pretty special to me too. That said, I really am very excited about what Amanda at VioletMinded is doing for us. She’s an absolute genius. Best to play to ones strengths. Coding beautiful websites is not mine
I’m not a big football fan but am aware of something
